OUR GARLIC
Noto Garlic farm began with just 12 garlic cloves and an ambitious young man in the fall of 2012.
The amazing growth from 12 cloves four years earlier to the 2,500 during the 2017 planting season makes the anticipation of the 2018 harvest an epic moment for the farm.
Now with over 32 varieties of garlic grown at Noto Garlic Farm, it is extremely busy in the fall and summer months planting and harvesting. He does a great job of keeping the varieties separated. This was had in the past as I had planted all varieties together and did not keep track of what was planed where...this lead to the classic mix know as Noto's Original Mix originating in 2012.

Pesto
Our pesto is made from fresh local basil and kale with Noto garlic farm scapes, made in small batches to insure quality in every jar. We carry traditional garlic scape pesto, or dairy free, or with out pine nuts. Since our pesto must be refrigerated it is only available at the “meet me in Marlboro” farm stand in Milton NY on select dates, at Benmarl winery and via direct order at our website.
GARLIC SCAPES

A scape is the flower bud of the garlic. We remove them in late June to encourage the bulbs to get bigger. They taste just like garlic! Great for pesto or in anything you want some garlic flavor.
GERMAN RED Garlic
Full-bodied, strong and spicy garlic that reliably produces large, satiny white and purple heads. The easy-to-peel cloves are wrapped in fawn colored skins.
XL GERMAN WHITE Garlic
This garlic has consistently produced nice big bulbs with large easy to peel cloves. The flavor is good and it has a long storage life. Love this one.
RETIRED
PSKEM Garlic
This has a deep garlic character, very flavorful and averages four large cloves per bulb with purple coloring.

You name it...it's in there. This was the first harvest for us with all our varieties in one patch.
DUGANSKI Garlic
A stunningly beautiful garlic with large bulbs and an amazing flavor that matches its looks and size. Purple outer wrappers protect the violet-tinged cloves that burst with a fiery flavor and mellow out with a pleasant aftertaste.
MUSIC Garlic
White skinned with just a blush of pink, this garlic makes big cloves that are easy-to-peel. The taste is a medium hot, true garlic flavor that lasts for a long time.
